Heavy Half?
My '87 has 1.25" rotors and sit high, I suspect it has the 3/4 ton front springs. I don't have an SPID so at this point I'm not sure if it has the F44 heavy half option. Was that even available in '87? Most of the Big10's or heavy half's I've seen are older. Were the rear leafs heavier, were there extras, or did they have a different rear end? I'm looking for an easy ID, mainly so I'll know before I do the 4.5/6 drop and just for curiosity sake. For what it's worth the truck rides really nice.
Thanks

Re: Heavy Half?
I don't know about the 80's, but if it did it would have 56" rear leaf springs with 7 leafs plus an overload or something close to that. It should have a 2 piece drive shaft too. Those would be the dead giveaways. Mine rode really stiff going over bumps before I took some out some leafs from the rear.

Re: Heavy Half?
That option was discontinued in '80 or '81. They came with big leaf stack, 12 bolt and bigger rear brakes. I have a one piece drive shaft, but somethings came a little different for different trucks.

Re: Heavy Half?
Hey Leevon, neat truck. Is it a 350? If so hang on to it. I think collectability the 87 is the next "72"
Always appreciate you Paul
