Re: TRUCKS heads up

yep, finally a new episode this weekend on the Black 71 Cheyenne shorty. Been a long time coming - they teased a few months back and then, NOTHIN! for months. Nothing like 15 minutes of entertainment interspersed in 15 minutes of commercials, but I still set the DVR! I believe they already yanked it's non-original 454 and are putting an LS in it (eventually).

Re: TRUCKS heads up

The quick glimpse of the book he had on these trucks looks helpful, anyone know where i might get one, think it was an assembly manual.

Re: TRUCKS heads up

I like watching them work on it, they did make that door swap look real easy. I also like how they shown how to install the side molding as I would like to put it on my truck and after watching that I feel like I could do it now easy enough.

Re: TRUCKS heads up

The door hinge kit they used looked pretty nice. I'll have to add those to the ever-growing list of stuff to use when I get there.

I was a little disappointed with them just dropping a repro door on there, but it does save a lot of time.

What is with the hate for speaker holes in the doors? He mentioned they were going to do kick panel speakers (I thought those were junk?).

At any rate, thanks for the info. I've been planning to replace my missing Assembly Manual. don

Re: TRUCKS heads up

I found out Saturday nite that that truck was bought in Florence,Ala. where mine was bought. A friend of mine has known the other 3 owners of it for around 35 years.
The truck has been around Lawrenceburg,Tn its hole life.It was done 3 other different times with 2 of them being totaled out and rebuilt.
