18" wheel help

Looking to put some 18" torque thrusts wheels on my 72, anybody got specifics on back spacing and tire size that looks good. Also what drops if any are you using? Pics would be great thanks

I recently did exactly what you are looking to do with the exception I used Coy C57s. I spelled out all the details in the last post of this thread... I hope it helps.

We know what backspacing to run and can definitely help you out with tire sizing also. It all depends on how low you want to go, as to where the wheels will sit in the fender well. Typically all lowered trucks will go with the same backspace, and then adjust accordingly for the bag setups.

I will be adding 2.5" drop spindles and 3 or 4 inch coils in the back, nothing dramatic, just a lower, more level ride.thanks

about 2 months away from wanting some chrome ttII also. Can you send me some details on a set of 18 and also a set of 20. It will be on a 71 swb, stock height as of now but will soon have bags and lowered using porterbuilt stuff. thanks Any suggestions about going with the 20 vs 18 ???

tj - I meant to add that I bought my lowering parts from Pro Performance because of the support and advice he offered on this board. A+ satisfaction from that transaction.
