Plans for my interior

I have RED interior now, I am thinking about changing the Dash Pad, Door Panels, Seat and Carpet to BLACK and probably painting the plastic trim around the windows and head liner Black and leaving the medal parts RED. My wife doesn't seem to think it would look good. I like two tone interiors. Does anyone have pictures of their interior in two tones or maybe even with this scheme. Not at the point of doing the interior yet but shopping

Re: Plans for my interior

mine was blue on blue until I changed everything to black, but honestly there are black trucks with all red interior except metal dash is body color, red trucks with tan or gray dont see why the opposite wouldnt look good.

Actually, the ladies in my family were just the opposite. They threw up all over the original "burgandy/purple/pank" plastic vs the bright red paint.

They all much prefer the black/red combo, as do I.

I'm pretty sure the seat has an aftermarket re-covering but it's the best bench ever!

Mine used to be maroon. It's been vinyl painted black. I plan on black carpet next and black seats and leave the rest

Re: Plans for my interior

Yes - they are LMC.

I didn't like them at first, because they looked like a cheap "blow molded" construction (rather than the originals which were fully molded).

But - I cleaned up and reused my original trim inserts and that, along with then new handle escutcheons, dressed them up a bit.

blow molded or fully molded, really makes no difference to me-they look good! i guess if you want originality it might mean something, but i'm so far past stockness it really would'nt bother me. good lookin' truck!

Keith -

Looks good. I have a black interior transformation in my 76 coming soon.

Was the dash pad from LMC also? It fit ok?

Yes - the dash pad was from LMC also; fit was fine.

Thanks for the kind words, guys! It really was kind of a slam/bang restoration. Started in May and by September I was done.
