What is this for?

I am in the process of installing Silverado seats in my K5. When I took out the original seats I found this behind the seats and just wanted to make sure it didn't have some purpose that would prevent me from removing it.

Re: What is this for?

I belive it held the original jack/handle in place. Don't throw it a way, kind of a hard to find item for someone needing original setup.

Re: What is this for?

Weird would have never guessed that. I just saw a huge spring behind the seat and couldn't come up with much of a purpose for it.

Btw mods - just saw this was in build threads by mistake. Feel free to move it.

Re: What is this for?

Would be nice to see how those parts actually fit behind that spring and clip. Not that i could use the jack with a 4" lift
