nv3500 swap
Has anybody done a nv3500 swap on an 73-80 chevys, I have been searching this but all I could find was trucks either earlier (67-72) or later (90s), I am interested in installing one in my 79 Chevy with a mild 250, a local junk yard has one in stock reasonably priced. I was wondering what all would I need to get me going in the right direction with this project. My 79 is just going to be a dd/ cruiser very little abuse and no major towing that’s why I figure the nv3500 would be a good transmission, if yall can chime in and give me some more info that will be greatly appreciated.

Re: nv3500 swap
I think you will be upgrading to a hydraulic clutch to do this. Otherwise it is a simple bolt-in. It is an integrated bellhousing so you must use the hydraulic clutch connection.
To run behind a 6 cylinder it should be a great trans. |
