Trans hump swap. low to high
Just curious how to remove the trans hump (low version, column shift) in a
C10. I need to swap in my K10 high hump for the 4500 conversion. The K10 just unbolted, but there arean't any bolts in the C10. Is it just held in there with seam sealer or am I going to have to cut it out ? Thanks in advance for the help. |

Re: Trans hump swap. low to high
Outline the high hump replacement, and allow for a bolt ring, cut, debur, place high hump, drill holes, bolt in. Cut with just about any tool you have. I like cut off wheels on a 4-1/2 grinder.

Re: Trans hump swap. low to high
What he said but use something like rtv or maybe seam sealer to seal it up after.

Re: Trans hump swap. low to high
Thats what I needed to know. I'm going to see if I can find some "captive" nuts locally or spot weld the nuts on the underside so I can remove it by myself from the inside in the future.
