Re: Is there a color code or name for Steering Column??

if brown-ish, it's likely "sandalwood" (color). Is it kinda light brown? Maybe the name will help you search for some - I'm not sure where to find it, but can perhaps run with sandalwood on google and see what pops up. If it's not ligth brown, then it could be part of a "saddle" interior. What color are your seats and dash pad? Pic would help - someone on here can spout the definitive answer from a single pic.

Re: Is there a color code or name for Steering Column??

Jocko,

I don't have the interior done now....Lots of parts removed to paint and restore.

The door panels, seat and armrests were Off White or Parchment. I have seen it called different things. Parchment is the color of the new stuff for the interior. The carpet I found is Light Sandlewood.

I am waiting on the seat now.

Re: Is there a color code or name for Steering Column??

Go to your local PPG paint supplier[mine is an Orielly's auto parts] and ask them to use their profit machine on it. You will need to take your column with you and they will take a digital image of the part and the camera will download that pic into their computer and it will transfer that pic into a mixing formula or color code in witch they can mix the paint from. Another option is go to your local John Deere store and pick up a can of Blitz Black. It is avaible in spray cans and it is the closest thing I have ever found to the factory tilt colors that GM used on their steering columns.

Mine is a funky tanish brownish grayish color.

For a parchment interior, sandalwood should be the color of the non-tilt columns and steering wheels.

Re: Is there a color code or name for Steering Column??

Close to the source but it is not an exterior color. Here is the back side of the Ditzler color chart and it shows the interior color codes for the trim based on the trim code.

http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/default.aspx

If the code is 622-623-624-625 then it is Dark Sandalwood and the column paint code is Ditzler 23374

Re: Is there a color code or name for Steering Column??

While stumbling around for the paint I found automotive touchup. They sell touch up paint by paint codes for MANY cars including our trucks.

Just wanted to share the info.

Has anyone bought from them before and what were the results???
