New guy with headlight and brake light issues

I just got a 1964 C10 stepside with a 250 I6, 3 speed on the floor.

She had no tail lights and the headlights didn't work, parking lights do.

I used a tester on the following, any help would be really appreciated

power at fuse block,
power at light switch,
power at brake switch.
No power at bulkhead fitting for tail/brake/turn,
no power at plug in for headlights.
Only lights working properly are front parking lights.

Thanks in advance!

Eric

Re: New guy with headlight and brake light issues

old wiring. take your test light and see where the power stops. probably a connector or plug some wheres. stop and turn lights feed at the brake light switch and the turn switch. you should have a hot wire going into the turn switch and hot when pushed brake light power going to the turn switch too. if you have 12v going to the turn switch and not coming out when you have a blinker on then you know what to fix.

When you turn on the headlights, it sends power down to the dimmer switch. If you have power there, Check switch, connections at firewall, by radiator support and the bulb itself.
