Thought I'd do a little review on this. Just got it for xmas and haven't had time for a write up before. Here's what it looks like mounted on a 68 LWB











Couple of things to note from the pics. Number one: that box was freaking huge. Number two: when they say that it's low profile they mean it. I think it sticks maybe a half inch over the rails. So far the only thing I've noticed is that it isn't completely flush on the front due to the rounded edge of the bed right behind the cab. I took my drop in bedliner out thinking it might cause fitment issues but in all honesty the part that goes up and over the front might make it a bit more snug. Even though wind does get up under there a bit it is only at highway speeds and even then the whole thing doesn't billow around, it's just a subtle tiny bubble. Even without velcro it holds itself down very well. I left a few things in the bed over the last few weeks just to test it, and nothing is wet so it seems to be working fine to me. Oh, I did also notice that it makes the tailgate a bit snug as well, but that may be just fitment on my truck. Considering that they make this for brand new trucks and this one is 50 years old I'd say it's a pretty good fit. Definitely happy with it, and I would recommend it to anyone who is otherwise considering a velcro or snap cover. Don't do that to yourself. This cover was not much more expensive, but definitely worth the difference.

$426 total from summit. It rolls up great. My truxedo had velcro straps to hold it in place and the front, but this one has those plastic clips you can barely see at the front. It makes it look a bit less sleek, but it is so much easier to use.

Im interested in getting one... but whats up with the "layers" that i see in pic 4? it looks like its unfinished?? are there bed rails or something that would give it a "finished" look or does the picture make it look weird?

it looks like Billett has the plastic covers that come with it to delete the stake pocket holes in and it might not be letting it lay flat. But he is right I have been using the revolution cover for about 7 years now and its the best soft cover you can buy. I was cutting fire wood over at a buddys house for about a month and that month was February and that's a cold month in pa. Well I rolled up the cover and never unrolled it the whole time I was cutting wood, and when I was done with the wood I unrolled the cover and it was froze and about 20 degrees out and it locked into place like it would of on a hot summer day. There are only two rails one for each side and the bows are built into cover, the other nice thing is if you want to remove the cover for some reason or if your hauling something and don't want whatever rubbing against it you just pop to clips and it will come right off. the way it locks at the tailgate is the same way it locks at the cab but there is a set screw to at the cab. I have those metal push caps, plastic clips and the Velcro kind but this is the best one to buy.

Yeah I have the plastic caps, and had a velcro truxedo on my s10 before this truck. This cover is MUCH better than any velcro cover, but not nearly as expensive as some of the other styles out there. One thing I've been having trouble with is the metal brace at the front drivers side. The front of the bed, (side closest to the cab), has a rounded lip which allows some wind to get under the cover and pull up on the front. That brace has bent on me a few times, but I just put a good size washer under there with it and haven't had any more problems.

can you post a picture of yours showing the same sort of angle in Billett's picture 4?

I see the stake pocket covers and how they might cause that little "bow/drop" but what im really wanting to know is what those "layers" really look like?

Those layers looks like those old pink wafer cookies when I was a kid... or a kit kat with a bite out of it.... does it really look like that in real life or is that just the picture? does it look unfinished?

What you're seeing is the layers of material that keep it dry. Here hold on a sec...

It is definitely finished. The leather is stitched to rubber which keeps it sealed. Then the black plastic from the side rail is also part of what you see.

The front gets a little wet depending on how hard it rains, but I've been meaning to pick up some rubber stripping to lay down up there. Other than that, yup it works awesome.
