E brake cable question
Hi
I am doing a conversion on my 72 jimmy from 4wd to 2wd. I will post the conversion when it is mostly complete with details, but I have run into a block and need your help. I have tried to search it already. I converted from leaf to trailing arms, I have new rear cables for the trailing arm set up and need to know if the intermediate cable or the front cable differ from a 4wd to 2wd and maybe pics of a 2wd set up. I have seen the short bed truck setup but not sure they're the same. Right now the intermediate cable is too short and it looks as if mounting for the front cable is too long...... Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: E brake cable question
I'd like to see the set up on this also. Mine didn't have an emergency brake when I bought it. PO had removed it?????? I bought parts but have not put it in. Not sure what goes where.

Re: E brake cable question
Thanks Woogeroo, I am actually familiar with the layout of the truck ebrake as it is all over this forum, I am concerned with what I need to change out on my blazer, like the front cable..is it a different length from 4wd to 2wd as well as the intermediate cable?
The link you sent is very informative and will definitely help the other post in this thread. |
