Cool air filter lid...


Found this at the wrecking yard yesterday. Never seen one before.

It's just part of banks old power packs for TBIs. There should have been special "ram air" ducting and scoops as well that took air from behind the grille. Nothing special about the lid itself except I believe it allows a bit taller filter.

Go back and see if there was more of the kit. Would make a cool add on for a retro rod some day like using old hat flat head parts to build a "period" street rod. I believe the kit is still available:

it appears that it would also fit a 6.2 diesel.
