Whats the difference in a 67 GMC & 67 Chevy front clip.

Is the only difference the grille and core support. Is all the sheetmetal the same on the front of these trucks. The reason I ask and I know I will catch some heck over this is that I like the Chevy front clips better.

I am not sure yet but I think I might be able to get the 67 GMC C30 that my father-n-law bought new. I have been wanting to build a K30 and told him what I was wanting to do and he said that someone needed to take it and do something with it. So it has got me thinking. Although I really wanted an A/C cab. I will have to talk to him a little more.

The GMC hood has no emblem holes and the Chevy has holes for Chevrolet. The hood latches are different. The splash pan has holes for wiring that Chevy doesn't. Fenders are the same,except for fender badge holes. GMCs require the grille top filler bar

Yes varying from model to model there might be emblem holes to fill but bolting up everything should line up

That's right,but that's not what was asked. I listed the differences between Chevy & GMC.

So pretty much to sum it up if I were to change the front end over to a Chevy from a GMC I would just need a core support and the grille assembly. 67 Model.

Also note the wiring will be a little different to the head lights.

You could use the GMC hood latch,but it's offset to the side and Chevy is in the center

rs74,just so ya know,none of that sheetmetal will fit a '67 Chevy or GMC (unless you use it all and want a 69-72).

If it`s really a 67-68 type gmc core support, all you have to do is remove the headlight extensions and it will be a chevy core support. you never have to pull the core support out of the truck. look behind the headlight extensions to see if the holes have been punched for the adjustment screws and spring.
