Front end suspension & steering

Today I spent the afternoon running around getting quotes for balljoints, tierods and a-frame bars.

The guy that deals with LMC was able to get everything in the catalogue with a reasonable price (canadian shipping included).

The independent shop could not get everything I was looking for, but his price was close.

The major chain, NAPA, was easily three - fours more expensive than LMC.

My questions is: What am I buying from LMC. Is it quality merchandise. Am I going to have to redo the job in 5 years.

Has anybody bought the front stuff from LMC and gave me an opinion.

Thanks

Ken

Probably China stuff but then again I have not bought front end parts from them. Try going to www.rockauto.com and see if they can ship to canada. You can look on their site and make a shopping cart.

Re: Front end suspension & steering

Most of what I've gotten from LMC is off shore/not american made/not OEM. But, mostly its been pretty qood quality including the suspension parts.

I just did a complete front suspension useing parts from Advance Auto and LMC...its up on here with pics and all the part numbers for a 64 C10. Variously, the parts were Moog, Advance Auto repackaged american made parts and lmc off shore parts. Everything was a perfect fit and I'm quite happy. But much of the parts were ordered on line from Advance auto useing 20% off code P20 + free shipping + $50 coupon for next order and I saved a buncha money over LMC. The remainder of parts were ordered from LMC.
