how far is your bed from cab

Im having an issue with a short wide bed. I bolt it on and it is 1 5/8 away from the cab on the ps measuring from the header panel to just underneath the cab line. On the ds im getting 1 1/4. Obviously my sport bumper is way off too. On the ps the bumper is almost hitting the bed and on the ds it is well over an inch away. I have measure the end of the frame to the bumper and I get the same measurement so the brackets are the same so I dont think the bumper is off. Any suggestions?

another question...How far should the cab be off the body mounts as well as the core support?

Be sure to measure the bed to make sure it is square, measure across diagonally front to back.. That sounds like it may be your issue.

Bottom line...If you can't loosen the mounting bolts (not take them out) and get it lined up either the bed is jacked out of shape, the cab is jacked out of shape or the frame is jacked out of shape. It may also be a combination of any of the above.

Frame may have warped from too much heat on one side while welding. Did you weld a little on one side then switch to the other and alternate back and forth or did you completely weld one side then start on the other side? How about if you put just the bolts in in front of the welded area. Does it line up then? If so I would say the frame is warped.
