Hello from Birmingham, AL!

I've been a long time browser, but this is my introduction. I've had a 1970 C10 LWB for about 18 months now and I love it. It's an original 307 with a 3spd that has been replaced with a saginaw 4. Right now it's on 15x8 steelies brand new rubber. I'm excited, because I just bought some 20 inch Coy's C5s and everything I need to switch it to 5 lug, I think . Next is a 4/6 drop and then saying goodbye to the 307. I'm sure there's plenty of info on that in here. Glad to be a part of a wonderful group in this forum. I'm learning to post pics, so please forgive any mistakes after this point!

Re: Hello from Birmingham, AL!

Thanks for the love, guys! There seems to be a lot of folks from Alabama on here. Anyone know about some fun automotive stuff to do around Birmingham? I frequent the SCCA autocross, and Barbers on race weekends but that's about it. I'm thinking more about some cruise-ins, meets or shows that you know about that I might be interested in? If there's not any...hell, we should start some.

Thanks!
20x10 rear and 20x9 front. To be honest, I don't remember the exact tire sizes. I bought them used and they were already mounted. I've had them for about 3 months now while I found the parts to do the 5 lug disk conversion and I just don't rememeber. They are Kumho Ecsta STX, and I think they are 285/50 20 and 275/45 20. Obviously they are not the same width but I'm also pretty sure that the rear was taller tire also. They are in the shop at my brothers house right now until I can get out there to switch it all over.

Very nice truck man. I live in montevallo bout 20 miles south of Birmingham. There are cruise ins in alabaster at the promenade every first Saturday of the month not sure if they have started back yet though. Its usually a pretty big turn out.

That is one clean looking truck. And, you're right, there are a lot of nice folks here and most everyone is always willing to help, or at least pitch in with good opinions and ideas!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
