YAY! Truck started! Here's how I fixed it!

Well, after going through every other part, and them all checking out good. I decided to replace the rotor button. (The piece that is the go-between for the coil-rotor.) VOILA! Fired right up! I couldn't believe it! The only thing wrong with the old button, was the end of it was worn off (The part that's rounded had been flatted by me smashing it down on before.) Welp friends, I'm ONE HAPPY CAMPER NOW!

one day my 86 wouldnt fire. i tested for spark and got nothing. just happened to have an extra HEI cap, coil and rotor button sitting on the shelf, assembled and reay to go. slapped it on, along with a rotor i had laying around. didnt really pay to much attention to the old one until after it refired. the whole bottom of the cap was burnt out, like 2" dia hole, and no sign of a rotor button at all. not sure how it was running when i parked it, but it was.
