71-72 door question
I know 72 vent windows were now secured with a single screw on the inside of the door, thus differentiating it from the 1971 model year. I have some doors from either a 70 or 71. Would I be better of fixing the rust on my 72s or can I still use the other set?

It's up to you. If you use the 70-71 doors you will have to drill holes for the 72 door panel mounting clips. No big deal, just needs to be done. WES

aren't the lengths of the window crank and door handle shafts different (i.e. to clear the increased depth of the 72 door panels)? I'm not certain about that - but am sure someone can confirm or not. Thought worth mentioning.

Yes they are longer but I was mainly concerned about the extra screw

If your truck is a 72 and you want to stay with the correct door panels you can use the 70-71 doors and change out the door and window regulators.

You would just need to swap the window regulator and the door latch remote from the 67-71 short shaft style to the 72 long shaft. WES
