Carb info needed

I'm building a 327 out of an impala ss, and I'm taking the stock carb off and putting a Holley 4010 750cfm on it and wanted to know if there would be a horsepower gain?

Motor specs:
Standard bore pistons
Double hump high compressin heads: 10.25:1
Crane mild cam
Torker 2 intake manifold
Roller lifters
Roller rocker arms
Short tube headers

P.s. working on getting the heads ported and bigger valves put in

Welcome to you from up the roadI am in Marianna. I come through there every wed on the way to the rock to buy trucks at the IAA sale. I think the 750 may be a shade much for your motor but not knowing what type of driving you are planning with this it is hard to say. If you are just driving around, I would recommend a 600 carb of some sort my preference is a Edelbrock 1406 [that is a 600cfm with electric choke].Those carter/Edelbrock carbs you can set and forget as long as the fuel supply is clean if not you will get a sticky needle and seat reqiring a teardown of taking the top off to clean out other than that they are pretty much bullet proof. The Holleys are good as well just more tuning and the tune is a little more finicky, but like I said the 750 is just a touch large for that motor in my opinion.

That's what I thought but I'm on a really tight high school budget and I found it in my dads shop and all the parts were there so I decided to just use that and buy a better and bigger cam

No shame in leaving the Q-jet on there $30 for a rebuild kit and you have good mileage till those massive secondaries flip open and it takes off. Just get the choke pull off set right and the thing will scream. most of them were 750 CFM anyways some 800 so no worries on that end. Im running one in my 454 suburban and it spins 38s no problem never even a bit of a hiccup.
