i twisted off a bolt head on the trans pan any ideas on a good drill bit to drill threw this bolt to use an easy out?

There are several methods but that one works pretty good.

do u know of a good drill bit? i mean hell a bought one for steel n it fits in my dremel and it spins 10,000 rpm n it has only gotten like a little bit in.

I have had good success with Dewalt Titanium-Nitride coated bits you can get at Lowes.
Drill bits do not work very good with a Dremel IMO. You really need to use a drill.

If you don’t have access to a drill the dremel will work, but you have to keep the speed setting very low. At 10,000 rpm the bit doesn’t have time to cut and clear the chips so it just melts the cutting edge.

Take it a lot slower, and apply more force, just not too much or you will probally break the bit. I broke a bolt head off in my steering column, and spent about an hour drilling out the rest of the bolt without damaging anything.

If the broken parts sticks out of the hole at all I like to weld a nut onto it and use a wrench to spin the bolt out. The heat also loosens the bolt if it is rusted or siezed.

Also when drilling it is best to use a lefthanded drillbit and often times the bolt will be spun out before the drilling is even finished.
