Smoother ride

Looking to get a smoother ride out of my 1979 3/4 ton 4wd bonanza, any thoughts?

all season tires the more sidewall the better ,new standard shocks and springs ,new rubber bushings and mounts not poly,new seat.

Good shocks and tires can help to a point,But its a 4x4 pickup they will always ride rougher then a car does.

Welcome to the forum 1979bonanza. If your still running stock suspension, there not much that you can do. As mentioned tires and shock can help a lot. Look for a softer radial tire with a good quality shock.

thanks guys i didn't think there would be a whole lot i could do about it riding like a tank but the old shocks definitely need replaced and it wouldn't hurt to get some better tires. thanks again!

Get under it and look around see if you have any wore out parts too.

You might consider a small lift kit. The factory springs are fairly flat and don't offer a lot of flex. The aftermarket springs give you more travel and offer a progressive rate.
