What starter for sm465
I just got done putting in my sm465 and my old auto trannies starters nose cone won't fit in the bellhouse. Is there a different starter for the manual transmissions?

The cast iron bellhousing uses a bellhousing mounted starter. I ditched mine and went with a Hitachi style mini-starter. This is the one WITHOUT the additional support in the front of the bendix gear. This is a great mod IMO since you can ditch the GM starter with its propensity to heat soak.

Manual trans starter that bolts to the bellhousing on the left.
