K10 springs
This is probably a newb question, but can I use leaf springs from a later model truck to lift it? How much, if any, fabrication would be required?

Re: K10 springs
Yes you can use the springs from a '73-'87 K series truck. However you will have to change all the spring hangers to the '73-'87 hangers.

Re: K10 springs
I kept the main spring and changed all the one's below. An old spring shop told me they could re-arch the originals though they would lose their temper sooner than later.

Re: K10 springs
Thank you for the responses.
When you did this, did you use stock or lift leaves? If stock, did it change the truck height? I'd like to clear 35's, maybe 37's with this truck. |
