Repair frame or throw away

So I need some opinions on this frame. Sometime along its life it was cracked and then inproperly repaired. They did not remove the front crossmember and only patched and welded it from the inside (side that was not covered by the crossmember).

Do you think it is salvagable or should I scrap it an look for another shorbed coil spring frame?

Re: Repair frame or throw away

I'd fix it but it really depends on your skills/tools/finance.
A properly patched and welded frame should be just as strong or stronger.

Re: Repair frame or throw away

I would plate it and weld it up, i know on some of our international buses we have at work we did quite a few repairs like that. should'nt be a probelm, the plate was a international design, so if you used a piece of angle and weld it in it should be strong enough

Re: Repair frame or throw away

It is repairable and a section from another C10 frame might be the best start.
