Shipping Grille from Phoenix to Indiana
I am trying to get a grille shipped to someone in Indiana. I was quoted $123.71 from a UPS handler!!!!!!! This is crazy. Any ideas? Who has shipped a grille and what did it cost?
Here are the stats: 72x30x12 33 lbs. Thanks

post office?
if UPS is charging that much, i might give the post office a try.
sometimes if you talk with the postmaster in person, they will go out of their way to help you out --- sometimes ship it freight which can save a bundle. i have shipped some large things, but not very heavy things. but it might be worth a shot. give them a ring on the phone and see what they say. who knows. just a suggestion. good luck! jewels.

I had a complete 69 grill assembly shipped from WA to MN. Cost 43.50 via UPS. Are you declaring a high replacement cost? The dimension, and weight are the same as mine was. Can you ship it from your place of employment to the other party's, that may make a difference in cost also. I looked mine up on their web site...can't imagine why the handler would guess that high! Go to UPS.com, and get into the shipping estimater, and enter the data, it should give you an accurate cost.

this is what it says when I try to run the price on my UPS account.
Package 1: Package exceeds the maximum size total constraints of 130 inches (length + girth, where girth is 2 x width plus 2 x height). (RAV: 1050)

You could also try Greyhound. My parents shipped me a dresser for $89 and freight forward wanted over $200, moving company wanted over $300.

I know Christopher shipping prices are killing me too. Hard to sell stuff when they charge so much. Randy
