Tonneau Cover Ideas

The truck I recently bought came with a Tekstyle snap tonneau cover. As anyone who has had a snap cover knows, these are a pain. Especially in cold weather. I was thinking about using the top part of the clamp that attaches to the tonneau frame and drill through it and the lip of the bedrail. Then a clevis pin or the such could be slid through to secure the cover. Pulling the 6 pins would allow the cover to be lifted off. Probably have to weld bushings to the back side of the rail to keep the holes from elongating. Any thoughts or other ideas besides replacing or not using the cover?
