Which Brush for POR?
What type of brush gives the best results when applying POR?

I used dollar store 1.5 - 2" ones, they can't be cleaned or reused. Here you can get a 3 pack for a buck. I use the same for fiberglas too.

I have used a 4" wide foam roller on floor pans with good success.

Lots of cheap throw away brushes available. I used to buy "chip" brushes from the paint store dirt cheap when I did the parts buying for a food processing plant. No brush cleaning solvent in the plant to contaminate anything was one reason and no expensive brushes being pilfered was a secondary reason.

I was using the cheap bristle brushes for a while. My biggest complaint about the was when the bristles would start separating from the brush and would end up in the paint. So I moved over to foam brushes and I will say they worked great. Still laid down thick, but the end result was a smooth finish.

Thanks guys.
A couple follow ups... How well does POR handle heat? Would it be OK for the underside of the hood? What about on the alternator bracket? |
