Some trucks from last weekends AZ auctions
Here area couple of notable trucks from Barrett-Jackson and Russo and Steele auctions in Scottsdale...the Barrett-Jackson prices were outrageous.
Just threw in the "Juicy's BBQ" truck because the 22 foot tanker truck grill is amazing....to me, anyway.... |

Re: Some trucks from last weekends AZ auctions
Nice trucks, That barbecue outdoes the big one that was at my cousin's son's wedding a few years ago.
I watched all too many hours of the Barrett Jackson auction and thought that there were some pretty decent bargains on Chevy and GMC trucks earlier in the week and possibly some sellers that were a bit disgruntled at the prices. Prices were all over the place for the whole auction and I only came even close on the Fantasy bid once or twice out of ten times I put a bid in. Fresh builds that hadn't had much exposure or been shown too much seemed to bring a premium though. Trucks that had been built a few years ago and had been shown indoors and out and in a magazine or two seemed to not bring what the sellers thought they should even though the brought good prices. In those cases though you always have someone elses "Old" truck unless the truck has a lot of real history behind it then you are just it's caretaker.

Re: Some trucks from last weekends AZ auctions
You can go to the Barrett Jackson website and see what they sold for....many at the Russo and Steele did not sell.....
I get the "bunch of millionaires" comment....but still fun to watch and see some well done vehicles.....I look at it as the very, very high side of the market/hobby.....Mecum is good too, but prices have been up there as the popularity rises....went to the one in Florida a few years ago, and it was almost a circus too....fun though.... |
