Coming together

I have been EZ4U2C for awhile now but I just put in for my new plate and my truck is named LUCID DREAM. It means to be in a dream you have control of. Thats what this truck is all about, a dream for me and my son. We have been on it for two years and it now coming back together. We got to bond a lot on this body off and feel like its a father and son dream come true. I believe I have showed htm a lot. It went from a 70 to a 68 front end with all new sheet metal except the cab an doors. We are wet sanding it and buffing now and have about 20 more hours of that then we hope to have it put back together by March.

Re: Coming together

Yes I am a lucky Dad, he's a good kid. He'd rather be workig on the truck instead of playing video games. He's right there with me. It been a fun project. Heck we even had my Dad working on it LOL

It's a special mix me and my son called Lucid brandy. We started with a mitsubishi red then added a house of colors twist of brandy wine. Then we added a touch of purple pearl. Looks good in the sun and darkens up at night.
Wanted somthing different than red or black.

Re: Coming together

Yea that my Dad and me him and my son would pack up ever weekend and head out to local truck shows when my truck was orange. It's been been down about two years. Dad told me a couple weeks ago, he could'nt wait to go to some truck shows with us again. He's looking foward to getting out to check out the old vehicles. Re: Coming together

Beautiful! I envy you having a son to share the truck build with! I was blessed with three girls, no son. Even though I tried to turn each of them into tomboys they rebelled and turned into girls! Nice work!

So far only one has found a good one (son inlaw that is) that's after I litterally paid her to dump the last one! I had to, the guy took her brand new Chevy truck one night, picked up some slimy chick and drove the truck into a river!

Re: Coming together

Here's a few more pictures of our progress. We wet sanded with 1000, 1500, 2500 and 3000 then buffed her. Put the grill and the front bumber on. Got the carpet and all the wires run for the radio. We still have to put the windows in this week. It's almost DRIVE TIME
