Camaro disc without booster

Who has/is running front disc brakes and rear drum brakes without a booster in place??
I know its not the best route to go, but would like to get our truck on the road and purchase an aftermatket setup later.
Does anyone have pictures or advice on this?
Any help would be appreciated

Re: Camaro disc without booster

If you have a flat face cowl, many of the S10's from the 80's had manual brakes. Grad one of them from a u-pull-it and your good. you can add the booster later.

Re: Camaro disc without booster

I put 11" GM disc brakes on my '53 using CPP's mounting brackets and dual chamber master cylinder that mounts in the underfloor factory location and uses the stock pedal arm. It was a bolt on and pedal effort without a vacuum booster is not excessive. The master cylinder came with a proportioning valve and since it was mounted higher than the calipers I did not need residual valves.

Re: Camaro disc without booster

what calipers are you using and what size are your rear brakes? Match the MC to the calipers.

Re: Camaro disc without booster

i don't see a problem with non-powered brakes in these trucks, they're not that heavy.
from your ''purchase an aftermatket setup later'' i'm thinking you want to use the stock mc for a disc/drum setup, that will not work.
you need a split mc setup for disc/drum.
