Engine Decoding
I have a 69 GMC Pickup I bought about a week ago. Im trying to figure out if the engine is the original engine.....and also im not even sure if the engine is a 327 or a 350.
Here are some of the numbers I have found on the engine of the truck. K06 20 TKF C51158993 3970010 Also, my VIN on the truck is CE10DBA17720 Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

According to the suffix code, (TKF) the engine is a 350 and came out of a 75-78 van or bus. Usually the 010 castings are 4 bolt mains, but they don't have to be. It should be a good engine but it is not original according to the suffix nujmber.
