Re: are these the dual horns?

Yes, those are correct, mine has the same ones.

I can't completely help you with mounting locations, but there should be bolt holes on the driver side of the core support, just like you described.

Re: are these the dual horns?

Good thread,
My truck was spliced together from a prior owner, so Originally mine was mounted on both sides of the 1968 radiator support, but have since replaced it with a correct 1970 support and only had one horn wire, so now mine is mounted on the passenger side closest to the green wire. My truck is a 1970 GMC Longhorn Sierra Grande.

Re: are these the dual horns?

my truck is so hacked together im surprised it even had horns on it. Although they dont seem to work. Is there any identifying markers on the horns that let you know they are for sure the correct ones? I am skeptical since the rest of the truck is so hacked up.

Re: are these the dual horns?

I do not believe those are a dual horn "pair" the optional second horn should spiral the opposite direction, both normally had either an "H" or an "L" on the bell end indicating high or low note. one should mount next to the radiator on the core support and the other next to the headlight

Re: are these the dual horns?

thank you for clearing that up livrat. they dont have an h or l so most likely just 2 standard horns.

Re: are these the dual horns?

Here are a couple pics. Installed and not. My high note horn (the one that goes under the headlight) is marked with the "H" visible in the second pic. The low note is not marked with a "L", but I understand some are. My original 69 core support did not have the weldnut mounting provision below the headlight on the front side, I assume, because the high note was not available in 69 (at least early 69). The low note horn is to the left of the radiator. The core support shown is from a 70, 71 or 72. The green wire you have looks to be correct to connect the 2 horns.

I am going to hang onto it for the time being. If i end up getting a pair of dual horns with a harness i will look into selling it.
