thoughts on savin my cab

like the title says im tryin to decide if i should save my cab and fix the rust or find another i dont mind cuttin and welding all the panels and makin the new windshield frame in the bottom corners and the firewall is really bad along the seam i dont want to shave the seam and findin decent cabs at the jersey shore and surrounding areas without a long drive down south

there is a guy that parts out the cvcu down there oldrusty knows him i think. he may have a cab.

From what I am reading it sounds like you should just get a new cab. If your frame rusted around the windshield, and rotted out the seam on the cowl, it sounds like most of the pinch weld and overlap seams are rotting apart. Not only does it not sound particularly safe or strong, but, if its that bad then even if you fix what you can see then every few months or years another place will likely let go from inside out....

I know a couple of guys with cabs in the area.. most need little to no work.. they are mostly 4X4 cabs military use,,, to determine about yours tho pics are better than words
