Wheel differences?

Hi. Are 1953 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup wheels identical to 1957 1/2 ton wheels? Thanks!

Re: Wheel differences?

They will swap back and forth but don't match as Newfisher said.

Re: Wheel differences?

Huh.... My new '57 hubcaps snap in just right. It's a cameo pickup and my worry (since I've got 450.00 in Cameo wheel trim rims headed this way) is that the rings/clips might not work. Those Cameo rings use five independent clips for retention, not the full band of toothed grabs like other beauty bands. I'm sure they're from a '53 - The seller sent me pics of his truck.... Your thoughts?

Re: Wheel differences?

By the way, I have a perfect grill bar for '47-53 I'd give away. I'm just not sure which one it is... They're different from bottom to top - yes? Anyway, if anyone needs it, it's yours for shipping. I'll answer any questions about it... measure, etc.

Re: Wheel differences?

From what I have seen, the task force rims are wider than the AD rims by 1/2" or so. Also, the task force rims have 3 hubcap clips instead of 6. I don't know what year they changed. I am using the wider 16" rims on my 1951 1/2 ton.
