Starting a new project - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Picked up a cool start to a new project. The guy I got it from bought it from a guy that owned it for a while. He bought the truck with no motor and trans and a 10 year old repaint. He put in a killer LS1 and 4l60e trans. He also bagged it and bagged it. Luckily for me he used all Portrtbuilt parts for the rear suspension. So it gets extra low and rides straight and true. Now for the nest stage is the old trucks life. Plans are to down play the paint, that has already been started. Some weathered pin striping and door signage, that happens tomorrow. Get some Mobsteel 20' steelies, those were ordered today. Then get the 10 year old dated interior out and put in a more stock but fresh interior, this will be happening in about a month. I'll keep everyone posted as it comes together.

This is the now, the later should be super cool.

That is a really nice truck. Is that the original color or do you have a paint code? The color looks really similar to mine.

What did you do with the boss 338 wheels, not sure if i want to run 22's on my new one like i have on my red truck.

A lot of people like chevy pearl white ... it was on the 90's camaro's.

But also a lot of our trucks came with a white windows up color like mine
