Which rearend will work?

My dad just bought a set of summit racing 18"x 9.5" wheels for his 67 C10. We are going to put a 275-40-18 on it. The wheels have a 5.250 backspace. I have a 67 and a 72 rearend to use. Which one you guys think would work best? Do you think I will have to narrow it? The truck is being set up on Porterbuilt c4 and a Hills Rod and Custom 4 link.

The 72 rear end will be best with that backspace. The 67 rear end will be too narrow.

Yep.
71-72 rearend is your choice,... as long as you are using a fleetside bed.
