WTB Wall art parts

I am looking for a few parts to comlete my wal-art projects. For the dash I need a bronze ash tray. My frontend needs a halfway decent inner grill. The one that is in it was melted in an engine compartment fire. I know its a long shot but I need a C for my CONOCO.
thanks for looking.

Re: WTB Wall art parts

I don't know O-No! Co. Sounds like a company I'd run. it seems like I say that a lot. Haha.
How are you gonna do the clip? I just did some front end wall art myself. I still needs some trim, but it's close to finished.

Thanks, Did you leave the core support in yours? I cut mine today. I was wondering how to mount the headlites without the core? I still need a front bumper for mine.

Hey Darren I like your garage. Make sure to take pics of the clip mounted!

Jeffg1010, is that part of my old Chevy up there? Looks sweet.

Yep... ha! I was wondering if you ever saw it. The pieces worked great. Thanks!

Nope, no core support. I built a wood "core support" that mounts to the wall and then mounted the headlight buckets to the wood. much lighter and easier to work with (and screw into place) I didn't use the factory light harness either. I busted the back of the old headlights and installed a 110 ready light socket in both lights and the park lights. Simple, safer and they have their own on/off switch so I can turn them off easy.

I bolted the fender sections to the grille using their original bolts and I just set that piece in place over the headlights. It probably sounds crazy now, but it worked REALLY well. In fact, I dont even think I ever bolted the hood to anything. It sits up there perfect without any assistance or mounts. You can see in the photo that I also cut a rectangle piece of MDF to hide the 2"x4" that ran across as the skeleton of the wooden mount. But the rectangle also gave a solid black backdrop so you couldn't see the white wall through the grille holes.

Re: WTB Wall art parts

Thats the ticket!!! I like that. I hope you dont mind if I copy that idea of the lights and no core support. Here is where I am at this time..
I am still looking for a decent front bumper and a rear roll pan. I guess I can sell my core support if any one needs one.

Thanks for the tip. I looked at it already. I found a bronze one for 4.00 at UPULLIT where I got the hood and tailgate.

Re: WTB Wall art parts

this part of michigan hasnt embraced the "upullit" concept. a truck yard near me sends a yard man out with you to locate wrecks for you. and they only deal with newer models.

someday maybe.......

That is so sad. Going to the upullit is like going to the fair!! My mouth starts to water when I walk in.

Re: WTB Wall art parts

I thought using a rear bed floor and bed sides and tailgate mounted to the wall so you could put a pair of bar stools and have a fold up type table when you do not need it.
