MSD 6A went out need some help?

Well my msd 6a went out I guess I didn't have it secured good enough I've been working on my truck and didn't have anyfender wells so I just wire tied it to the heater hose (DUMBAZZ)

Well I really don't want to spend the money on a new one and was wondering how hard it would be to go with the control mod back in the distributor and how to wire it up.

The previous owner installed the msd kit the one that comes with the HEI cap for external coil and the msd 6a.

to put a control module back in shouldn't be to hard I just need to now which wire is which in the distributor and which control mod to get

MSD will repair yours. Usually costs about $50 to have it done. If it is hooked up to HEI, most times the module is used to trigger the MSD, only sometimes are they removed and just the mag pickup used. Go to MSD website and they should have online wiring stuff.
