69 Suburban C20 Lowering Help

I'm new to the forum,looking for information on a 69 Suburban C20
Can any one help me figure out the best way of lowering a C20 Suburban
Not looking to go the airbag route.
Will it be harder to lower it because it's a C20 VS C10??
Pictures of your truck and kit used would be GREAT.
Any and all help would be appreciated
Thank you

I would contact ECE (Easrly Classic Enterprises) they will have everything you need. They will have an option for a 4.5/6 drop. Here is a pic of my half ton with a 4.5/6 drop.
Welcome to the board! Post some pics of your burb!

Very nice!
What ever you do, don't chuck those wheels and caps!
They may not be worth a ton of money, but guys out there like me would like to see them saved for the guys n' gals building OE style rigs.

Re: 69 Suburban C20 Lowering Help

Price goes up in spring > been watching it on kijij for months think they started at $10995 ?

There basically the same as far as suspension design. Same frames 1/2 and 3/4 ton. Not hard just more expensive depending how low you want it.

Re: 69 Suburban C20 Lowering Help

Thanks for all the info
I want a kit that lets me keep the truck as original as possible.
So no C-notch for me.
Disc brakes and 5 or 6 lug conversions are ok.
Keeping this in mind what is the lowest I can go, and with what kit?

Super sweet burb. It is going to look great closer to the ground. You do not have to c-notch with a 4.5/6 drop. I did mine but it is not necessary.

Re: 69 Suburban C20 Lowering Help

Thanks
Looks like I will be going with ECE 4/6 drop, with the Front disc conversion kit.

Now I need help with the rear end.
What rear end can I use to swap to a drum 5 lug setup?

Re: 69 Suburban C20 Lowering Help

Ugh, I would love to have a c20 burb. Send that down to me and get a c10 burb and lower it instead.
Done now, LOL.

i agree. seems everyone is ditching their c20 chassis in favor a c10. i prefer my 3/4 ton truck. i know there are lowering spring kits out there for our coil spring trucks that allow you keep the HD chassis but lower it. and keep the 8 lug wheels and stock caps too. that truck just looks so beautiful as is that i can't understand why you'd even lower it. i'm sure there are enough people out there parting out c20 trucks that you could get all the stuff needed to convert to 71-72 spec front disc. the brakes are a worthwhile uprade, but keeping it all C20 just lowered will be really unique. no need to be like everyone else and have a another slammed c10!
