Paint back bumper-black or silver opinions

Let me know which way yall would go.............Black or back to silver?
Either way it will be wire wheeled all the way back down and paint with a spray gun and heavy duty equipment enam. Wheels are black, front bumper is chrome.

I did mine silver because it originally silver. I used a wire wheel on a grinder to clean it. Then hit it with self etching primer. Then a coat of "wheel paint". A lot of guys get it powder coated. This was about $15 for the paint and the wire wheel.

I like the silver too. I repainted mine recently, and went with silver. If you search my past posts, there's a pretty decent write up I did with pictures. I think the black kinda looks too much like a high school kid truck, but hey maybe that describes you. To each his own.

I like your truck! That color is cool. Any plans to paint the letters on the tailgate? Also, are you looking for that middle moulding piece above the tailgate latch? If I find one at the junkyard sometime, I could probably send one to you

Re: Paint back bumper-black or silver opinions

Depends on what color the truck will be IMO, I would paint it to go with the color of the truck myself rather then the generic color that they came to start with.

Thank you Mister B. I do have the chrome and white decals for the letters. They are in line to be installed. I have to finish a few things first. I don't want to steal the post though.....

So there ya' go b.eddy. Silver and put tail lights in that thing, you'll be set. Also I may have a pair of BU light lenses for you. I'll take a look and send them if you don't have them yet.

No Sir but my son is a high school kid .

69GWC- I will leave the truck white because the paint that is fairly good, however after I replace the rocker panels I was thinking about doing the strip below the chrome in either black or do bed liner on it rather than trying to match the white but that will be a little while.

Longhorn 70- No sir I have not bought them yet. I have 2 decent right ones and no good left ones. I found both tail lenses and both back up lenses on ebay for $25 both dont know the quality.

Re: Paint back bumper-black or silver opinions

I painted mine black. Once I get the truck running again, I will make it silver again. Regret is always a dish served cold.
