Where to buy side molding

Hey Everybody,

I hope to soon start on the body work on my '86 K10 I recently bought. The body is good and solid with mostly only surface rust.

Where do you all recommend I shop for the side molding and trim?

Thanks!

Bob, how long have you been running it? Is it fading at all?

Re: Where to buy side molding

I got mine from LMC (part number 39-7031) and it looks, feels and installs like factory.

I used the pre cut; they do have an issue with the end being open but you can purchase a sealer pen to close that off (part number 38-0921 or I imagine you could use clear nail polish). That was August of '09 and they still look brand new.

Re: Where to buy side molding

I just used the LMC pre cut on my truck a few weeks ago. The ends are now sealed. They were great.

Re: Where to buy side molding

Thanks guys, I was trying to decide whether to go with the precut or the roll and was wondering whether or not the ends were finished.
