72 Blazer on Buffalo Craigslist

I looked at this 72 CST this morning. It is located near Buffalo NY. It is out of California. Loaded up CST Cheyenne pkg (has SPID)., highlander pkg. AC, auto, PS, PB. Looked very solid. Rockers have been previously done. Paint has scratches here and there, needs a new outer grill shell. Supposed to be original engine but I didn't check the numbers. Owner said he is somewhat negotible. Could use some new rear interior side panels and probably new covers on the front buckets. Hatch and top looked good. A very nice vehicle that deserves a good restoration. I'm not interested because I just finished my Blazer last year and I am in the middle of my 65 GTO . Owner is a car and truck guy (he restores Scouts) and is a nice guy who has good stuff.

Re: 72 Blazer on Buffalo Craigslist

Pics are small, but it does look nice. Seems kind of high for needing work, I would think you could purchase one done for that. I thought highlander was a custom deluxe package, not cheyenne, maybe I'm wrong as usual though.

Re: 72 Blazer on Buffalo Craigslist

It needs cosmetic work to make it a show quality vehicle. It doesn't appear to need any body work. It is a fairly rare and highly optioned example that hasn't been butchered up over the years. It does have a smog pump bracket as a part of the AC bracket and the pump is gone. I don't think he is more than $2000 too high. IMO, I don't think you could buy a completed show quality Blazer optioned like that one for that money except in the rarest of deals, like somebody just wanting/needing to sell it quickly. If they are that nice people tend to know what they have. "Done" nicely, I think that that Blazer could easily bring over $25000 and not just at an auction.
