Re: need cowl induction hood measurements

Your probably better off making one anyway. A lot of people have trouble making that after market hood fit. Just make sure to support the under side.

Re: need cowl induction hood measurements

Re: need cowl induction hood measurements

I like it, looks really good. One thing I don't like about the aftermarket ones is that the centre hood body line does not have the same contour as the originals. It is more rounded than square like the original. Yours fixes this

Re: need cowl induction hood measurements

The aftermarket looks better on the 67 and 68 models, than they do on the later models. I have an aftermarket on the project truck that I bought but I have not done a dang thing with it since I bought the truck. That hood fits pretty well with the body. The truck is still in pieces all over my garage and basement. I have pics, but right now, I am at work.

Hilljob:
Nice job on the hood! I look forward to seeing it finished.
You may have to work on one for me.
BTW... That hood looks familiar!

Re: need cowl induction hood measurements

Looks awesome! Are you going to run a brace in between the two factory braces? Something like what the aftermarket ones have.
