Just had to share this find...

I picked this up yesterday. A guy about an hour away had it on craigslist with a very short description, said the big block was knocking and just wanted it gone. When he started it up I could clearly tell it was just a donut gasket that was blown out. I was able to drive it all the way home. Its all original and hasn't been messed with in any ways. It even has a fifth wheel and gooseneck in the bed. Best part of all, it was only $700.

Re: Just had to share this find...

It has a 454 with the turbo 400. Its not 4wd yet, kinda considering putting it in it though. Not for sure yet because I want to leave it all original.

Re: Just had to share this find...

I got it over by north Webster (Warsaw) area. I'm real happy with how clean it is for the year. I just need to find good replacement rockers and cab corners. Floors are solid. The only other rust is on the inner fenders about a 1 inch hole on each one.

Re: Just had to share this find...

For now I want to fix the exhaust leak and give it a tune up. I want to keep it all original and fix the little bit of rust. I'm have trouble finding actual replacement rockers. I don't want slip ons. Then probably give it fresh paint.

Re: Just had to share this find...

All I seen were slipons, no luck. I heard somewhere that you can use regular cab rockers, they just require some modification. I may look that route. I looked at the truck more today and it appears that only the outers need changed.

I used the LMC rocker's, cut mine out and weld'd there's in. only issue I found is that there not form'd between the door's, that area was good on mine so it was no issue's.
