CL ad: Huh? Ochre Cheyenne w/camper - I like the truck, but the ad is odd.

judge for yourself. If I had to choose between $4000 and a trade worth $8000, ummm, I guess I'd choose $4000... ??? Anyway, I guess it's because seller is gonna put $4000 worth of work into it?? Who knows. I thought the truck was interesting though - camper is era correct (kinda reminds me of one of SpecialK's!), so that's why I posted. Not sure a great deal - you can judge for yourself on that, might be to someone looking for something specific in the "camper world". Enjoy. http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/3596987899.html

EDIT: is this the truck that was previously for sale in a field with a siamese twin?? Looks familiar. I'm experiencing Deja Truck.

I guess he figures taking a trade instead of cash is worth twice the value.

He could've just said no trades I guess. Everyone seems to think their junk is worth twice what's yours is, so he's heading that off at this pass. I saw an ad recently where the guy said he would take a trade but be aware he would come out on the better end of the deal.

It's a lot easier to trade on newer cars because an unbiased resource such as KBB can be used to determine a trade difference.
