want better gauge lights? got $10?
a while back I bought some new bulbs for my instrument cluster. I wanted to improve the factory lighting, but didnt want to get into putting strip LEDs or anything like that just yet. so I bought these 28-LED 194 replacement bulbs on ebay. wow what a difference... my cluster looks great. and it was $8.90... cant beat it!

That's the one drawback I forgot. they do not dim. But they aren't uncomfortable bright either.

did the same but they are single convex type leds. they are fairly dim and are nice at night. the only way to dim leds is use a rheostat to control current as the stock dimmer controls voltage i believe.

Re: want better gauge lights? got $10?
I did the 86' C30 ranch truck but I did not replace all the bulbs with LED. In my case they do dim still (probably need some load from the incandescents to work).
Got the bulbs from Ebay but they were 5050 sized LED's, 5 of them, in a T10 holder. |

Re: want better gauge lights? got $10?
I had left over white rim paint,so that was cheap lol
I spent the $10 on adding extra LEDS.... so now my whites work better and the red can be on, when running
