Red face gauge wiring

I have an 86 inst panel and i am trying to install it in my 73 gmc truck. First i'll tell u what works. the volt gauge works fine. the temp, oil and fuel gauge needle goes to the right. the cluster has 2 grnds. 1 am using 1 for the volt gauge, the other for the cluster itself. the inst panel lights work fine and so does the htr lite. the source of power is the power gauge wire from fuse bx. i chked the fuel grnd wire which is grnded to the body rail it seems ok. how do i grnd the temp and oil (electric) gauges. On the printed circuit bd i noticed pin 6 goes to the oil gauge and temp gauge. So i connected the pnk/blk wire pin 6 to temp wire and sender wire, bth are lt green. also from 6 thru a butt con to pin 5 oil wire tan/wht and the blue/blk sender wire. you have 3 sep wires for the temp set and 4 sep wires for the oil set the power gauge wire is connected to the oil wires. for the fuel i connected the sender wire to pin 16 and 18 fuel wires. the power is thru a butt conn from the pwr gauge wire, 4 wires. these pin nos are from the cluster diagm . to let u know i have installed new fuse bx wiring like Painless. i hope this helps.
