Which make of radiator to use?

I am getting ready to get a radiator for my 67 project. What make do most of you run? I am going with the 4 row. Is the lifetime warranty radiator at AutoZone any good? Tried to search but it is closed for now.

rad.

I have heard good prices on ones like you mention. I also talked with a very reputable; radiator shop the other day on a damaged radiator and he said a lifetime Modine was just shy of $200. If thats the case I would go that route and I believe Modine is one of the best.

I just bought a new one and I'm making the switch to a 4 row as well. I searched the web, mostly for prices, and I found places like radiator.com all had the four row autos for around $155-180. US radiator has a nice one they call the tripleflow, but it was around $500. I'm sure they have superior quality and cooling ability, but that was way too much. I actually ended up buying one from my father (he owns an autoparts store in Oregon) and his cost is $155. Since they are coming up to visit this weekend, it worked out great & no shipping. I believe that he said it was a Go/Dan Industries radiator. I'm sure it is nothing special, but it will work.

I had to buy new pads and brackets too since I was going from a 3 row to a 4. They ran me $74 after tax, etc. I got them from PickupsNW. It sounds like there are better prices out there, but I was able to pick them up that day and not pay any shipping.

My new radiator will be here tomorrow, and I hope to get it installed next week. Someday, it would be nice to back it up with one of WES' dual electric fan setups!

Run a U.S.Radiator 4 row. They built it for me as a 4 row, tranny cooler, with 3 row tanks. Fit right in where the manual 3 row used to be. No new brackets required. Uses a long tranny cooling unit in the tank too.

For future reference the 4-row Modine part # is 2700.
SPI 4 row part number 369.
Vistion (spelling?) part number 369.

Called Lakeshore Radiator for the above info. They dont even carry Modine for our trucks anymore.

Thought I'd let you know.

I just ordered mine from Radiator.com.
It was 148.73 and has lifetime warranty.

I'm getting closer to firing up that 410hp SB 350!!! wwwwwweeeeeehhhhhaaaawwww!!

If you haven't already bought a radiator, take a look at the Griffin 2-row aluminum radiators. About the same price as the 4-rows you're looking at and muc more efficient design with the double 1" wide rows. I've got one in front of my 440 hp small block and never have a problem with the temp rising, unless I'm sitting in rush hour traffic on a 90 degree day. Don't know of any old truck that won't start overheating in those conditions.
