I don't recall ever seeing a well equipped solid Dark Blue truck. I like it. Not wild about the spot light either.

Add bumper guards, spot lights, bed rails and rain drips to the list for me. Really clean looking truck though.

Re: Fine example! What do you think? not mine

agree, very nice example in a not-so-common color of dk blue. And for a change, it would appear it's totally legit(!) Not a Custom10 with a stick-on wood glovebox trim called a Super. Refreshing.

I do agree, I'd have dumped the hood orny, bumper guards, spotlight - and I'll add to the list (unless I missed someone mentioning above) - I'd also nix the chrome on the engine. That thing is 2 valve covers and an air cleaner away from stardom.

Now, about that hood ornament - who knows where that thing came from? Were the EVERY offered on these years?? I didn't think so, but I've seen them on several 71/72 trucks. Just a common desire to stick a hood ornament on or were they actually something that could have been there?

Again, we're really nit-picking, it is a gorgeous truck and very well done - I'm so glad the restorer did it like it rolled off out of the factory for the most part.

All I'll say is this: Picture that baby with white steelies and the correct PO1 wheel covers. Oh my. Just gorgeous.

agree! they came that far to restore such a correct truck but should have done a few things like chrome valve covers...
