Powerglide kickdown linkage question

Guys,
I've got another question concerning my son's '65 C-10. It has the factory powerglide and factory column shift setup in it, but the factory kickdown linkage is unhooked. There is a piece of the linkage that is wedged behind the plug wires, but obviously not connected to the carb. From what I can tell, this linkage does run down to the tranny, being bolted to a bellcrank that is attached to the trans. bellhousing.
First of all, can anyone give me a rundown on this setup, as far as if I may be missing any pieces of the original linkage assy., and secondly, can anyone tell me how to adjust it once everything is hooked up?
Sorry for the elementary questions. I've not had a column shift in my '66 since I was 16, and that was a 3-on-the-tree, not an a/t. Thanks for any help!!
